June 09, 2009 - Five Killed in South Carolina Car Crash

A car crash that killed five people in near Aiken, S.C., is under investigation, officials said Tuesday.

Police said four adults and a child, all in the same vehicle, died Monday evening in a three-vehicle crash in Aiken County, S.C., The Augusta (Ga.) Chronicle reported.

Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton said his office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are conducting an investigation of the deaths.
